Service & Philanthropy
As one of our founding pillars, Charity is an important aspect in our fraternity. Giving back to the community not only helps those who are around us but also helps us grow as men. Alpha Sigma Phi is partnered with five organizations that are determined to making the world a better place. We are partnered with RAINN, Shatter Roof, Stop Hazing, Homes For Our Troops, and Active Minds. RAINN is dedicated to preventing sexual assault. Active Mind’s is dedicated to promoting mental health around the world. Stop Hazing is working towards ending hazing in all aspects of life, one organization at a time. Shatter Proof’s mission is to raise awareness and prevent addiction. Homes For Our Troop’s dedicates their time and resources to building houses for our troops who come back from service and have been injured.
Brotherhood
Brotherhood is the most important aspect of our chapter. As brothers in Alpha Sig, we are active in our chapter as well as the larger campus community. We participate Fraternity League Intramurals, Greek Week, Songfest, and Homecoming every year. Additionally, we host events for members including biweekly wing night, watch parties, game nights, and chapter retreats. We also strive to develop our members into Better Men by encouraging them to participate in other student activities and pre-professional organizations.
Academics
At Alpha Sigma Phi, we understand the importance of academics and implement programs to assist brothers in their studies. There are a variety of majors represented in the chapter including Engineering, Pre-Med, Nursing, Business, and Pre-Law. For the Spring 2021 semester, our brothers achieved a 3.031 GPA. We offer a variety of academic and career focused workshops in partnership with the university and alumni including Study & Writing Skills, Resume & Interview Prep, and a Weekly Study Group.
